Studio Job - Nomination for eCommerce
Site of the Year

Studio Job was founded in 1998 by Job Smeets in the renaissance spirit, combining traditional and modern techniques to produce once-in-a-lifetime objects. At once highly specific and yet entirely universal, personally expressive and yet experimental, Studio Job has crafted a body of work that draws upon classical, popular and contemporary design and highly visual and sculptural art.

About the New Website

Just in time for their 20th birthday, Studio Job are pleased to announce the launch of their new website and online store, JobShop. This site is a comprehensive encyclopaedia of Studio Job’s huge body of work and it is designed to reflect their signature cheeky subversive style. The new online store is a growing collection of limited edition collectors items, exclusively available though the new website with each piece presented in a made to measure wooden collectors box. Bold graphics and colours, coupled with pop typography and animations, offset the iconic art and design works of the studio from the bronze pieces to their new pop styled design collection BLOW.

The contemporary scroll from Build In Amsterdam

“Studio Job commissioned us to create an e-commerce platform that reflects their unique DNA as well as their wide variety of work. The concept of the contemporary scroll arose by the need of being able to see all the work Studio Job has ever created, on one single page. We combined this thinking with a smart filter, making you able to filter down the contemporary scroll into a shop, a selection in time or material. Easy does it. It’s safe to say that in close collaboration with Studio Job, this platform became an art piece in itself.”

– Build In Amsterdam, December 2018
