Studio Job was founded in 1998 by Job Smeets in the renaissance spirit, combining traditional and modern techniques to produce once-in-a-lifetime objects. At once highly specific and yet entirely universal, personally expressive and yet experimental, Studio Job has crafted a body of work that draws upon classical, popular and contemporary design and highly visual and sculptural art.
After working together for over half a decade, Studio Job and Seletti joined forces in 2017 to create a joint brand ‘BLOW’, to create boundary pushing, affordable design objects. After a multitude of successful store openings worldwide, they are now proud to invite you to the opening of the first Seletti store in Holland. Housed in the most sought after area the ‘9 Streets’ shopping district in central Amsterdam surrounded by canals and independent brands, Studio Job will be in attendance at the launch to personally sign your BLOW products.
“After years woking internationally we’re excited to be back in Holland to launch the store with our very own brand Blow” explains Job Smeets “we think art and design can be available for all, so we created products based on our bronze art pieces, almost like we created our own souvenirs”
Seletti, Runstraat 22A, Amsterdam
On display will be the brand new Gospel and Streetlamp collections, as well as the full Blow collection derived from Studio Job’s iconic sculptural work; the Banana Lamp, Jobby the Cat, Tiffany Tree, Streetlamp collection and many more. From the cheeky Maurizio and Charley golden bathroom set to accompany the recently stolen golden toilet of Maurizio Cattelan, to the guilty pleasure the Lazy President chair, the Blow collection brings fantastical imagination from impossible to reality.
BLOW with its exceptional style, has become one of the most talked about experiments in design: the style and design of Studio Job merges with the DNA of Seletti, always committed to combine cutting edge design with affordability. Thus, BLOW is the collection made for all design lovers who are looking for special objects and furniture at an affordable price.
