Studio Job - Paper Suites

Studio Job was founded in 1998 by Job Smeets in the renaissance spirit, combining traditional and modern techniques to produce once-in-a-lifetime objects. At once highly specific and yet entirely universal, personally expressive and yet experimental, Studio Job has crafted a body of work that draws upon classical, popular and contemporary design and highly visual and sculptural art.

Paper Suites

For Hotel Chateau Bethlehem in Maastricht, Studio Job designed three hotel suites with the common theme ‘Paper Suites’. Three suites in one style. No fuss with funny ideas and topics. Every element in the suites has been produced by hand in an edition of 3 or 6 pieces.

Paper Suite

Adri, Maik & Lenny

The wall covering is a relief with thousands of images. No TV but an old-fashioned record player with only one album: the Götterdämmerung of Wagner!

Suites with winks….and rather Spartan.

Room 12 – Paper Suite ‘Maik’
Room 14 – Paper Suite ‘Lenny’
Room 15 – Paper Suite ‘Adri’

Adri, Maik and Lenny; in every suite another face looking down on you. These are the portraits of the three Studio Job atelier craftsman of the suites!
