Studio Job - W.A.T.T.

Studio Job was founded in 1998 by Job Smeets in the renaissance spirit, combining traditional and modern techniques to produce once-in-a-lifetime objects. At once highly specific and yet entirely universal, personally expressive and yet experimental, Studio Job has crafted a body of work that draws upon classical, popular and contemporary design and highly visual and sculptural art.

Studio Job realised a colourful immersive installation in the atrium of a modernist building, which has been transformed into a contemporary office space. The Watt tower is located in Antwerp, originally designed in 1958 by architect Léon Stynen, it housed Belgium’s largest national electricity supplier for decades. Collector and developer Serge Hannecart transformed the modernist building into a contemporary space.
